About Me

Hello and welcome!

My name is Giulia Mulè. I am a food and travel writer and photographer. I have been blogging for over 8 years!

In 2019, I moved to Wroclaw in Poland with my husband Sandy after living in London for 13 years. As a travel writer, it is great to have the opportunity to explore new culture and traditions and I am looking forward to discovering more of Poland and Eastern Europe. I travel to England regularly to see my brother and friends and to keep up to date with London’s restaurants.

I was born in Rome, Italy and I lived there until I was 25 years old. I always had a passion for traveling and curiosity for exploring the world, so after university I moved to New York to do an internship for 6 months. After that I won a scholarship to work in London and I have been here ever since.

My plan was to keep moving, but then I met Sandy and so I decided to stay. We got married in London, but we also had an Italian wedding in Rome and in Mumbai (my mehendi ceremony) in 2012.

Hitting the milestone of 10 years in London was an opportunity to reflect on my life in this country, especially after Brexit… I decided to stay and in 2018 I became a British citizen. Also in 2018, I took a 2-month sabbatical in Bali and it was one of the most transformative and soul-enriching experiences of my life!

Over the years I lived in London, I revived my love for photography and discovered a new passion for food and baking. I used to work as an Account Manager in advertising (sitting at a desk all day) so baking and photography became my hobbies and my way to keep my creativity alive.

Rome-born Giulia is the coffee and brunch queen of London. As the co-founder of @IGBrunchClub, she provides curated brunch inspiration for her followers, one tasty post at a time.  Her Instagram combines travel too – handy that she’s a photographer – so expect to see wanderlust-inspiring pictures of cafes and restaurants around the world, from San Sebastian to Brittany. [The Evening Standard]

Giulia Mulè, food and travel blogger at Mondomulia, in Wroclaw Poland

In 2011, I combined my passions into Mondomulia, my food and travel blog. At the end of 2014, I quit my job in advertising to focus on Mondomulia full time.

Mondomulia is a global destination blog for all things baking, coffee and travel. Giulia Mule is the face behind the flavours; combining her passion for food, photography and travel all in one delicious space of the web. Giulia’s passion for culinary creation sees her leading bespoke recipe creation for global brands to regional favourites. Giulia travels as much as she can whether it’s a city rich with culture her readers need to discover too, or a Swedish coffee house we need to know about, Mondomulia curates and shares each experience in style with wonderful insights to each post. My every day life is spent at home cooking, writing and taking photos or travelling to beautiful destinations around the world. I love exploring London and eating out at new restaurants and coffee shops.

I am always with my smartphone in hand! I am currently using Google Pixel for all the photos on my Instagram. For my blog and client work, I use DSLR cameras (Nikon D600, Fuji XT10 and Canon Power Shot G7X Mark II). In the evenings and weekends, I relax by baking, running, hiking, reading books, painting watercolours and watching movies.

Oh get over yourself. Never read such an egotistical blog in all my days.

I like your blog. Have you tried La Scala on Grove Vale yet? I’d like to know what an Italian makes of it.

When I said, “loving the blob”, I meant, of course, “loving the blog” :-)

Spending hours in a cafe… I can sympathise with that. Sometimes I think I’m at my happiest in a good cafe… :-)

    Loving the blob,
    Brian.

    ciao Giulia,

Your name is like the marriage of “Julia Gulia” from The Wedding singer. Er…I’m sorry for the lame reference. But I like your photography and your love of food. I’m looking forward to trawling your blog. :)
