I was reading the (stunning, beautiful, interesting) Smitten Kitchen blog yesterday in search of dinner ideas, when I stumbled upon this recipe for “pea pesto linguine”. Being Italian, I am always on the look for original pasta ideas!

I already tried similar “pesto” recipes in the past, like this courgette and pistacchio pesto from Nepitella or a green beans pesto suggested by my friend Vintage Affair. So, motivated by my successful past results, I decided to try the Smitten Kitchen pea pesto! This is my adaptation:

Last month I visited India for the second time in my life. My fiancé is originally from Mumbai, so we try to go once a year to visit the family. A few weeks ago I attended a day workshop with food photographer Paul Winch-Furness. Photo Pop-Up was held at A La Cruz, an Argentinian restaurant in Clerkenwell, London EC1.

It was a great and busy day! It was 8 of us with full access to the whole restaurant, kitchen included! We started off the day with coffee and biscuits imported directly from Argentina. They look like macarons, but infact they are two shortbreads layered with jam. Delicious!
